In addition to launching their first women's in-house automatic timepiece, Chanel announced a new watch at Baselword in Switzerland this past week and we absolutely love it (that hat). The Mademoiselle Chanel featuring a silhouette of Coco will be sold at Chanel boutqiues beginning later this year. Multiple other watches were also shown, one with an octagonal case that evokes images of the Place Vendome.
In other watch related news, the Basel watch show kicked off this past week and runs through March 30. Many new models were unveiled from multiple luxury watch brands, including exciting updates to classics from some of our favorites like Rolex, Bell & Ross, and some lovely Grand Soir Botanical pieces from Dior.
The Supreme Court of the United States had its first fashion related ruling, deciding on the case Star Athletica vs. Varsity Brands in favor of Varsity Brands that design elements of a garment are protected by copyright.
