WHAT WE'RE WEARING: Rainwear Accessories
Continuing our "April Showers" theme of rainwear this month, this week we're going to go over a few accessories that will bring a little bit of sunshine to your gloomy day--even if it's actually just the excitement of getting to try out these awesome yet useful accessories. Each item has a click-through link to make it that much easier for you to be on your rain-day-ready way.
Bags are one of the first things that can really take a hit in the rain. There's no going anywhere without a place to store your wallet, phone, and numerous other items that you simply can't make it through the day without. The following bags are only water resistant (see our last post discussing waterproof vs. water resistant here), but for the most part, that will be enough most of us out and about. These particular bags are made of nylon, which can at least slow down the water penetration and still look good enough to use even if the weather is bright and sunny.
I know we've already covered raincoats, but I can't pass up an opportunity to talk about panchos...it just wouldn't be right. Here's one that I love from Cleverhood--a family-run company based in Providence Rhode Island that focuses on producing American-made rain capes for those on the go. Not only will these rain capes keep you nice and dry, but you will look awesome in with their lovely selection of styles and patterns.
And who could possibly write about rainwear accessories without mentioning the old reliable umbrella? Here are some of my top picks that cover classic, utilitarian, packable, and fun.
And just in case you have a stylish pup, here's a pancho just for Fido by Cleverhood...Sophie approved.
Stomp back next week to get our top picks for, you've probably guessed it, rainboots!
