UPCYCLING: Baseball Hats

Baseball hats are the universal American summer accessory. You can wear them running errands, to an actual baseball game, or just as an added trendy item to your daily wear. We decided to come up with a few ways to style your hair to flaunt these fabulous hats. With grunge 90s being chic again, its important to master the art of rocking a cap.

I have short hair (as of like.... 5 days ago) so there are far less options for my hair styles. It basically needs to be down in order for it to be seen and it is short enough that it is not easy to pull back. That being said, it can be braided and there are many wonderful hair styles if your hair is longer than mine.

If you have longer hair, there are so many wonderful choices that you can choose from when styling a baseball cap. The first one that stands out is the low pony tail. This is a easy way of keeping your hair out of your face while also keeping it tamed underneath the cap. Similarly, you can also tie your hair up in a loose bun as shown above.

Baseball Hat Braid

Another great style is the braid. You can never go wrong with a good braid. Whether you wear it low and classic, have a rocking fish tail, or go for the French braid, these are the perfect way to dress your hair up a little bit underneath the hat without looking too formal. No one would really wear a demi chignon with a baseball cap right? That would be insane.

You can always give the classic high-pony a whirl with a cap as well. Just sling it through the opening in the back and you're good to go. So perfect on a hot day when you want to look cute and fun but want absolutely nothing touching your neck. Whether you're actually playing or not, this go-to always works.

Lastely, you can always wear it down. The wonderful thing about baseball caps is that they will hide a lot of your head. If you are having a bad hair day or are feeling a little extra greasy, these are the perfect way to hide the top of your head. Likewise, baseball caps can also tame hair that is out of control. I know for me in particular, it irritates me when my hair is in my face and i cannot seem to keep it restrained. A good baseball cap while out and about keeps my hair secured but still looks feminine.

Baseball caps can be the perfect addition to any outfit when you want to either scream from the rooftops that you are an American or offer a little extra coverage to your head on a windy day.
